Virginie Daïdé is a French saxophonist and composer based in Paris. Her work explores contemporary jazz through original compositions. She leads a modern jazz quartet featuring Tony Rabeson on drums and Thomas Posner on double bass, and collaborates with several pianists including Nicolas Dri, Paul Anquer, and Fady Farah.
Alongside this project, she also explores the connections between jazz groove and dance culture. With While We’re Strollin’, she develops a performance that combines live music with choreographed roller dance inspired by the aesthetics and energy of classic roller rink disco culture.
